Not long ago in Eugene, Oregon, two passionate foodies and a marketing professor were enjoying their customary cup of tea. That lucky afternoon, between sips and shop talk, the idea of an all natural, plant based, healthy dessert was dreamed up.
It didn’t take long for these three restless retirees to create over five hundred different formulations, all put together with ingredients everyone can pronounce. These were tested and appraised by more than two hundred consumers, as well as by food experts and pastry chefs for quality.
The result was the decision to create Almetta Almond Milk Mousse. The idea behind it all was to solve a problem for dairy free and vegan consumers. The team didn’t rest until they came up with four different flavors and a name that evokes its main ingredient and the kindness with which it was conceived.
